june fest.

thank you Lord.
i really must pen this down.
pen all my thoughts.
cause i'm afraid i may remember the experience,
but i may very well forget the feelings,
thoughts and emotions that went through me.

saturday.
19th june 2004.
heats.
the first thing i must thank God for.
He placed us in heats 1.
that was amazing.
we didn't have to battle with nj, nyjc, yckcsc...
yeah. and we managed to finish 1st.
and move on to semis.
yay!

sunday.
20th june 2004.
semis.
i drummed.
heehee! happy.
never drummed proper, with the drum before.
exciting.
thrilling.
thank God again.
cause it wasn't our best sprint.
coordination problems and stuff.
and we got 3rd.
and we were on that thin line of whether or not we'll proceed to finals, or get kicked out.
scary.
but thank God.
we made it to finals.
clocked- 4:47.57
finals.
this was it.
the final race.
thank God we made it.
we really gave all out.
we really pushed to the max.
we were close to tears when we ended.
tired.
but spiritually recharged.
we knew tt that was our best race.
we knew tt we really pushed hard.
it didn't matter whether we win or not.
what mattered was tt we did it.
once we got on shore.
we went hysterical.
screaming. shouting. hugging.
i've never felt so accomplished before.
i've never felt this satisfied before.
i knew we did it.
and we did it together.
tt's all tt mattered.
we were just happy. exhilarated. jubilant.
i will remember asking ted, "did we excite you?"
and his reply, "yes, you did."
happy.
i can't put words to what i feel.
i can't put words to how i felt.
it's just amazing.
thank God for everything!

we prayed.
i really wanna thank God for the opportunity to pray before and after every race.
i don't know how to put it.
but it's really a great feeling to know that God is given that important part in every race.
it's really been God's grace.
and i thank you Lord once again.

now i can rest well tonight.
knowing that i've said almost all i wanted to say.
